Japanese Village

October 13th 2006 celebrating my 28th birthday a little early with great friends Erin, Nic and Heather. I LOVE this place. The food is amazing and the chefs are great too. I think ours was a bit 'lit' but he was hilarious!! Posted by Picasa

The hottest new fashion accessory.

Our baby ball python!! Posted by Picasa It's not really an accessory. It is a living thing to be respected and cared for properly, which we are doing. He is awesome, very docile. He has gorgeous markings. When we first got him from the OHS he had snake mites (which we got rid of) and some wounds on either side of his mouth (probably bitten by live food) He has eaten 2 pinkies since we got him which is encouraging because ball pythons are known to be finicky eaters. He is a shy eater, and only ate after I left the room. The kids adore him. I wonder what we will do with him when he gets to be 4 feet long??

Our foster snake

Yes, it is still a foster. We haven't decided for sure if we are keeping him but it's been 2 weeks already. We had a major event, he actually ate last week!! We got him to eat 3 pinkies, and he also had a shed last week. His wounds are improving. Fascinating creatures they are! I have always wanted a snake for as long as I can remember but never lived with anyone who shared my dream. I started 4 years ago with a Leopard Gecko, who I love, and when I had this opportunity and the support from my sweetie I took it. It's been really fun to learn about snakes (corns in particular). Stay tuned;-) Posted by Picasa

Peony Poppy

I found this in the garden. I thought it was a weed but noticed it had a flower pod thingy on it the other day so I left to see what surprise it had in store for me. I knew it wasn't a weed when it bloomed but had no idea what it was. I posted it on my fave website gardenguides.com and the friendly folks there informed me it is a Peony Poppy. Gorgeous flower, reminds me of a carnation. Posted by Picasa
